How Configure Database, Create Backup or Add Database in Primavera P6

So in creating a database in Primavera P6 higher than v8.3, your job would be easier if you use sqlite database instead of mysql or oracle. In the login menu click the browse database the click add. Then database configuration appears, choose sqlite see the picture below. For new database choose add an new and standalone database and connection in the next dialog box.
Copying Database Backup in Primavera P6 v.8.4
Sqlite database is a standalone database so you can just copy it and transfer to another computer just like copying and transferring a simple document file without hassle.You just have to know where the database file is located so that you can copy that database and paste it to a backup folder in your computer, your external drive, or to another computer. At the login dialog box, click the browse button.
Then see the details below and you will see the location of your database. You can open your folders explorer to find that particular database and copy it so that you can paste it somewhere else.
After pasting it to another location in you computer, you can add that copied database to include in you Primavera P6 accessible database. At the login box, click the add button and select driver type sqlite and choose connection to existing database, then browse the location the database. You will now see the additional database in you Primavera P6. Highlight the database you want to use and click select.
How to Create a New EPS in Primavera P6
rom the top Menu items click Enterprise and select Enterprise Project Structure (EPS). This dialog box will pop-up. Use the buttons pointed by the red arrows to add and adjust the EPS items, type the item code and names and you add them. In the example above I added the MyCompany EPS and 4-subitems. I Minimized the Enterprise EPS above it, so that its sub-items will be hidden. Press close after adding all you enterprise items.

How to Add New Project in Primavera P6
To Add New Project in Primavera P6 highlight the EPS item where you want to add you new project, then click the + icon at the upper-right screen so that you can add new new project. Then just click Next Next Next until Finish but of course you have to read them so that you can learn what is being asked about in each dialog, or you can just click Finish right away. How to make Work Breakdown Structure WBS in Primavera P6
Open the Project so that you can create a WBS for that particular project. Right click the name of the project and click open. Then once the project file is open, from the top Menu click Project and select WBS then the WBS Tab Window will open.
To add WBS click the + icon at the upper-right screen so that you can add WBS items. You can also click the right, left, up, and down icon to indent and unindent a WBS item.
After adding all you WBS items, you can go back again to Activities Tab window and add new activities under each WBS. You can also cut and paste activities to transfer them to their proper WBS categories.
